Efficient Cell Delivery Performance

Comparison between NeoLNP™ siRNA transfection reagent and Lipofectamine 2000 for the delivery of 20 picomole (pmol) of Cy3-labeled siRNA into HEK293T, MCF7, and TWO3 cells cultivated within 96-well plates. At 6 hours post transfection, the cell culture medium was replaced, and cells were examined by fluorescence microscopy. The results distinctly showed the superior transfection efficiency of NeoLNP™ over Lipofectamine 2000 across all the three cell types used.


“Zero” Stress on Cells: Very Low Cytotoxicity


HEK293T cells were introduced into 96-well plates and subjected to transfection of 1 pmol of siRNA by using NeoLNP™ siRNA transfection reagent, Lipofectamine 2000 and Lipofectamine 3000, respectively. Control groups included a diluent and a negative control. 24 hours post transfection, the cell viability was assessed using the CCK-8 assay. According to the results, the diluent did not show any cytotoxic effect. NeoLNP™ was found to be gentler and less cytotoxic in comparison with Lipofectamine 2000 and Lipofectamine 3000.




Using NeoLNP™, 5 pmol of siRNA was reverse-transfected into A549, Capan-2, and HFL-1 cells in a 96-well plate. At 24 hours post transfection, microscopic monitoring revealed clear and uniform cell edges with no obvious shrinkage or rounding of dead cells. The cells exhibited a healthy state, further affirming the remarkably low cytotoxicity of NeoLNP™.
